Ball Girl #063: All I can say about the Carolina Panthers' new uniform is this

So the NFL recently came out with a rule that teams can wear different helmets throughout the season (LOL that this wasn't a thing before???? Like dead ass you were stuck with one accessory). The Panthers are using the opportunity to debut a sleek, black helmet alongside an all black fit on November 10th against the Atlanta Falcons. Let's see if fans demand that the look become a staple.

Home Run Derby

• Nope this isn't a horse race folks, but a home run hitting contest between 8 batters from the MLB.

• So who won? 23- year old Juan Soto. He defeated an even younger Julio Rodriguez (21 years old....a Bebe) in the final round with 19 homers.

• Soto just turned down a $440 million contract deal offered by his hometown team, the Washington Nationals, so this is very timely…

• Albert Pujols, baseball legend, lost in the second round to Soto. This season is his last in the league after 22 seasons in the MLB, so it was emotional to say the least.

All Star Game

• The All Star game is a showdown between the best players from the National League and the best players from the American League. AKA, its a 🍆 swinging contest over which league is actually better

• The American League won the All Star Game in Los Angeles last night for the ninth consecutive season. Here are the highlights:

• To open up the scoring, Mookie Betts hit a single RBI and Paul Goldschmidt hit a solo homer to put the NL up, 2-0. In the fourth, Giancarlo Stanton (Yankees) hit a 2-run homer, then Byron Buxton (Twins) hit another one right after to get the American League the win.

Tristan Thompson manslaying (again) despite baby #2 with Khloe Kardashian on the way

• Tristan Thompson was spotted in Mykonos holding hands with a brunette woman (who we haven’t seen him with before). Not that we’re surprised at ALL, but he has baby #2 on the way (or possibly already born? Rumors are circulating) with Khloe Kardashian, so kinda rude, no? Anyway, Khloe says she’s feeling “really good” about the relationship. It’s likely that she’s moved on, herself… In June, it was confirmed that Khlo was dating a private equity investor.
